Residential Services Worker - Lisbon, Rumford, Sabattus $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS*

*$5,000.00 SIGN-ON BONUS: pro-rated based hours per week. First 1/2 is paid upon successful completion of 90 day review/introductory period completion and second half is paid after 6 months from hire date, pending successful completion of introductory period.

General Summary:

As a Residential Services Worker, you will provide direct service in our residential program helping adults living with severe and persistent mental illness and medical issues.  You will assist people to enhance their success in the community, while emphasizing individualized programming and supports.  Our recovery focused environment offers opportunity for supportive clinical and administrative supervision in a challenging team oriented work setting. 

Professional growth is encouraged - on the job MHRT-1 and CRMA certification training provided and paid for by the agency.

All residential staff receive Holiday Pay of time and a half.  Overnight shifts receive an additional $1.00 an hour, Weekend Overnight shifts receive an additional $2.00 an hour.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Participates as a team member in the support and treatment of the consumers in a 24/7 coverage of program as essential personnel.
  • Performs Certified Residential Medication Aid (CRMA) tasks, including transcription and administration of medications of prescribed orders in accordance to state regulations and guidelines and identified program protocols. Agency will pay for training for any staff who do not yet have a CRMA Certification.
  • Develops and/or follows consumers' Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) and crisis plan protocol.  Monitors consumers' progress toward achievement of ITP goals and develops and plans daily activities depending on the individual needs and desires of the consumers.
  • Observes and reports changes in the functioning of consumers and modifies daily activities as appropriate, in conjunction with the consumers (and all other interested parties, as needed) and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Models and supports activities related to daily living and community integration. 
  • Assists consumers in exploring risks and benefits of choices and understanding possible outcomes of decisions.
  • Transports consumers or arranges for transportation for consumers for matters related to service delivery (e.g., medical appointments, shopping, banking, food shopping, etc.) using agency and/or personal vehicle.
  • Participates in scheduled meetings, including clinical and administrative supervision and staff meetings.  Seeks additional consultation and/or supervision when needed and as appropriate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, enjoy community outings, possess an ability to multitask and make critical decisions in a fast paced environment. Valid driver's license, and H.S. diploma/GED required--college education preferred.

Absent a qualifying medical exemption and pursuant to Maine's Covid-19 Vaccine Mandate, being fully vaccinated as defined by Maine CDC, is a requirement for this position.
